Did some rescaping because the anemone was climbing up into my coral. It's really spread out. This has to be the biggest sebae I've ever seen. It's easily 24" from end to end!

You can't see it in the picture but the barrel in front of the tank is on a 24x24" 2x6 dolly I made to move the 400lbs of water over to the sink for disposal. Maybe one day I'll get to move into the office BEHIND the tank and then I can have an Epic fish room Click here to enlarge

Sad announcement, this tank will be dismantled at the end of the month. Our lab moved to New York and unfortunately there's no room up here for it (small elevators). I'll be selling the tank on craigslist, but everything will be moving into my basement in North Carolina and into a new 8ftx3ftx2ft tank. Very little of the new tank will be DIY because I just don't have the time with commuting back and forth to New York every week. I'll probably start a new build thread over on reefcentral since just about the only DIY part will be drilling the tank and setting up the sump. I'll be buying new LEDs (4x Kessil A360W's) and buying a new Skimmer (Reef Octopus 250INT). I guess building the tank in the wall will be DIY too Click here to enlarge I'll cross post if there's interest?

Move went just fine. The tank was pretty neglected for 11 months while I was commuting back and forth to NYC. I had a huge calcium spike I didn't notice because I stopped testing. A couple corals burned and my Sebae anemone died. The moorish idol died a couple months ago. I fed the fish and then 10 minutes later he was dead on the bottom of the tank. He must have darted, hit something and died. He was perfectly fine minutes before. That was a hard loss. I had him for about 6 years at that point.
I started a short build thread here for it: http://diyfishkeepers.com/forum/show...on-Reef-Build/

Here's the finished product: Click here to enlarge

I went on a 7 day vacation last week and unfortunately there must have been a power outage because I got home and all the pumps were off. I have battery backup units with
~3 days worth of power so it must have happened soon after we left. One of the GFI's tripped. In the meantime I had purchased two new anemone that were doing well but they have since gone down hill because of the ammonia spike.

The new tank is now about 2 years old but it was made by SunCoast aquariums with 1/2" chemcast. It has since crazed very badly so looking to replace it next year. I'm thinking a 3'x3'x8' plywood build. We'll see what I have an appetite for next year Click here to enlarge
